Obsidian
Overview
Obsidian is the authoring environment for the handbook vault. The handbook/ directory is an Obsidian vault where all content is authored as Markdown with frontmatter. Obsidian Bases (.base files) provide saved, Git-reviewable views over frontmatter properties — used by this practice’s application registry. Property types are registered in .obsidian/types.json.
Access and Support
- Who has access: All content authors
- Provisioning: Local vault clone of the calab-handbook repository
- Support owner: GL05 Administration Guild (Knowledge Management) for content conventions; GL04 for vault tooling
Notes
- The vault is Git-first: Bases views and property registries are plain text and reviewable in PRs
- Handbook pages publish through Quartz; interactive Bases views are only available inside Obsidian
